『227：十中破竹』展 2012.2.27 - 3.22

銀座にあるCreation Gallery G8にて2/27より、中国人若手デザイナー10組の展覧会を開催します！！！
中国で注目を浴びる10組の若いアーティスト、デザイナーをセレクトし、中国パワーあふれる展示を展開予定。

まずはコンセプトから 。


227 : 十中破竹

1500年ほど前のこと。
第一波がやってきた。
中国から、日本へ。
漢字。宗教。文化。そして都市の作り方。
日本になかった新しいアイデアに、日本のあらゆることが影響を受け、
化学反応を起こした。
今に続くあらゆる流れが、そこから生まれた。

あれから1500年。
第二波の始まりがやってくる。
今度の新しいアイデアに、決まった形はない。
写真、デジタルメディア、タイポグラフィ、
グラフィックデザイン、イラストレーション。
ただすべてに共通しているのは、
図太い、濃密な、 猛烈な、エネルギー、エモーション、知的好奇心。
決して止まらない流れを生み出しているのは、
若いアーティストとデザイナーたち。

2月27日、その中の十組が、まず東京のど真ん中、銀座に到着する。
次の化学反応を起こすために。
彼らは、十中破竹。十の、中国の、破竹の勢い。

これは、本当に第二波か？

十中八九、間違いない。

We are very happy to announce MW's new art exhibition at Creation Gallery G8 in Ginza starting from 2/27!!!
We are inviting an upcoming emerging 10 units of Artist and Designers from China to showcase their bald and energetic creation in various genre of art works.

Jucchu Hachiku
(Bamboo-tearing Chinese Ten)


About 1500 years ago. 
The first wave arrived in Japan from China.
They were kanji, religion, culture, and how to build a city.
All kind of things in Japan were affected by these new ideas Japan had never seen before. And they brought chemical reactions in this country. 
Then, all kinds of tides which have been carried through to the present were born.


1500 years have passed since then.

Here the first of the second wave is coming.
This time, new ideas don't have any fixed shape.
They can be anything: photography, digital media, typography, graphic design, and illustration.
Whatever shape they may have, they share common bold energy, intense emotions, and furious intellectual curiosity.
Those who are creating these unstoppable tides are young artists and designers.


On the day of 227, ten of these creators arrive at the Ginza, the core of Tokyo, first to make next chemical reactions happen.
They are Jucchu Hachiku, Bamboo-tearing Chinese Ten.
Are they really the second wave?


Jucchu Hakku (it's highly likely) they are.

Woog："DI DAH DIT DI DI DAH” @ TRIPLE-MAJOR OPENING

現在、北京のTriple-MajorにてWoog "DI DAH DIT DI DI DAH”展第二弾を開催中。Triple-Majorは北京で最もクリエイティブなショップとして国内外のメディアの多くにフィーチャーされている今注目のショップ。海外のデザイナーブランドに加え、国内外のデザイナーたちとコラボした商品を次々に開発したり、Triple-Majorとしてもアーティスト活動を続けるなど、非常にユニークなコンセプトショップ。

今回は、"DI DAH DIT DI DI DAH”のアート作品に加え、Triple-MajorとのコラボTシャツやバッグなども同時に展示・販売している。こちらの商品は今後世界的に販売を展開していく。詳細は引き続きアップデートしていきます〜。

Woogの "DI DAH DIT DI DI DAH"第二弾を北京にて5/26より開催中！

今回の展覧会では、北京のユニークなクリエイティブセレクトショップ、Triple-Majorとコラボレーションし、WoogデザインによるTシャツやバッグを店頭、海外のセレクトショップ、オンラインショップにて販売します。
このプロジェクトは、上海に引き続き、世界中の様々なクリエイターを招聘し、中国のアートシーンを盛り上げていく、また中国の若手クリエイターの発掘及び海外への紹介を積極的に行っていくMW Companyプロジェクトの一貫です。

10日間だけのアート展でなのでどうぞお見逃しなく！！！

A solo exhibition of Woog in Beijing, " DI DAH DIT DI DI DAH" has begun since 5/26 for 10 days ONLY!!!  

This series of work is a continuation of Woog's previous exhibition at O.WW in Shanghai. For this exhibition, Woog collaborates with Triple-Major to produce limited edition shirts and bags. 311Nippon プロジェクト

The Brand Lab主催による311NipponチャリティープロジェクトにMW Companyも参加しています！
311Nipponは、東北地方太平洋沖地震への義援金サポートプロジェクトとして立ち上げられ、主な活動は、カンヌ映画祭や海外のアートフェアにて国内外のセレブリティー、アーティストたちのご支援のもと義援金を募る様々なキャンペーンを行う予定。

キックオフとして、311Nipponのロゴ及び、CoSTUME NATIONALプロデュースのチャリティーTシャツのデザインをWoogが手がける。入手方法など詳細は後ほどアップデートいたします〜！

Woog: MADNESS TALK EVENT

WoogのMadnessトークイベントが昨日無事に終了。今回のMadnessもたくさんの来場者にお越し頂き、楽しいひとときとなった。

上海初の展覧会オープニングが無事に終了した。おかげさまでたくさんの来場者を迎え、終始展覧会場はパック状態に。何とも嬉しいスタートである。

世界中の様々なクリエイターを招聘し、上海のアートシーンを盛り上げていく、中国の若手クリエイターの発掘及び海外への紹介を積極的に行っていく目的で立ち上げられたMW CompanyとOrigin Woodworkのコラボレーションプロジェクト#1として、Woogの上海初個展 "DI DAH DIT DI DI DAH"が4/1に開催。
本展では、WoogがUKアーティスト、Stephen Smithの"More With Less"作品をリミックスした作品群（プリントと動画作品）を展示する。

We are cordially announcing the first solo exhibition of Woog in Shanghai, " DI DAH DIT DI DI DAH”.  Woog remixed 

London based artist, Stephen Smith "More With Less" series. 

This is also the first collaboration project between MW Company and Origin Woodwork to introduce emerging artists from around the world to Shanghai. We also aim to discover new talents of China and expose them worldwide.

Woog remixes Stephen Smith

In this exhibition, we are introducing Woog’s digital remix prints and videos of an UK artist named Stephen Smith. This series of work is a continuation of Woog’s previous exhibition Residuum Unknown in Shizuoka, Japan.

"Every man supposes himself not to be fully understood; and if there is any truth in him, if he rests at last on the divine soul, I see not how it could be otherwise. The last chamber, the last closet, he must feel was never opened; there is always a residuum unknown, unanalyzable. That is, every man believes that he has 

greater possibility." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

This series of work is about getting in touch with the Residuum Unknown. Through digital prints and video, the last chamber is opened to reveal oceans of binary clues and encoded emotions. This is the morse code for the apocalyptic age.
